Free Swim Lessons Highlight April School Break Programs at the Family YMCA
The Westport Weston Family YMCA offers daily and week-long programs for local children during the school vacation, April 13-17.

This is a special opportunity made possible by the generous support of the Stew Leonard III Children’s Charities.
Children will enjoy a 30-minute swim lesson Monday through Friday. In each lesson, qualified instructors will introduce strokes and improve technique. Your children will become more confident in the water so they may move on to participate in future swim lesson programs.

Space in this free program is limited, but there are still some openings in some morning sessions. For more information about swim-lesson programs, including the YMCA’s popular Hafaday summer swim lesson program for kids ages 4-9, contact Aquatics Director Nicole Turechek at nturechek@westporty.org.
School-Age Vacation Special
The Family YMCA Vacation Special Program for children in grades K through 5 includes field trips, play time and a movie. Participants will also enjoy swimming and gym time at the Family YMCA. Children should bring a nut-free lunch, their bathing suit and towel, and wear sneakers and socks. Families may sign up for individual days to best fit their schedule.
Scheduled field trips during the April Recess include a visit to the Maritime Aquarium, bowling, My 3 Sons and the Sports Center of Connecticut.
Drop off 7-9 am; pick up 4-6 pm
Members: $95/day
Non-members: $105/day

Funky Divas Dance Camp
Students ages 5-7 will learn the basic techniques of dance that incorporate the skills of jazz. Students will increase their flexibility, stamina, strength and rhythmic ability while boosting their self-esteem. Routines are taught to help students develop sequential memory.
Monday-Friday 1-2:30 pm
Fee: $210 (no membership required)

Gymnastics Camp
Held in the YMCA Gymnastics Center at 145 Main Street, Norwalk, this week-long camp for children ages 5 and older includes 2 hours of gymnastics, games and an art project each day. Please bring a snack and drink each day. We are a peanut-free gym so no nuts, please! All campers must have a signed waiver to participate.
Monday-Friday 12-4 pm
Fee: $190/week, $45/daily drop-in
