Celebrate 'Green Day' at Earthplace on Sunday, May 3

Dig into a pond study, reach into a LI Sound touch tank, take a guided trail walk, have an animal encounter, tie dye a t-shirt (small fee), make nature crafts. See the debut of our new animal program Winged Wonders— It’s an up-close view of our raptors outside their enclosures with our Naturalists discussing these amazing birds of prey.

On the first Sunday of the month, we’ll host a bird on glove demonstration where you can learn all about some of our magnificent raptors. Naturalists will discuss the animals’ traits, behaviors and unique characteristics while the birds interact with their handlers. Starting Sunday, May 3! Sunday, June 7, 3 to 3:30 p.m.; free for everyone.

Our favorite food trucks Fire Engine Pizza Co, LobsterCraft, Valencia and The Buzz Truck will have great grub available for purchase. And the Earthplace Nursery School will sponsor a free ice cream social.
