'Iconic Retail Building' On Main Street In Westport Sold

WESTPORT, CT — An "iconic retail building" in Westport at 177 Main St. was recently sold, and will become a Swedish furniture store, according to Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate, which represented United Realty in the sale. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The sale reflects the very strong retail activity on Main Street, according to SCRE. Formerly the home of the Remarkable Bookstore, the 3,924 SF building was sold to CT-based Owner/User, Eleish Van Breems Home Westport.

Eleish van Breems offers interior design services and a line of historically based Swedish furniture.

Laure Aubuchon and Penny Wickey of SCRE represented the owners of 177 Main Street. Louis
Zuckerman and Patrick Colwell represented The Remarkable LLC, according to SCRE.

Since early 2021, SCRE has brokered the sale of three properties on Main Street in Westport -
56-58 Main St., 139 Main St. and now 177 Main St.
