LOGICAL FALLACIES: ARE WE VICTIMS OR PERPETRATORS?
Herb Wexler will cherry pick some Logical Fallacies to show how easy it is to be mislead

You may have heard of logical fallacies such as Ad hominem, Strawman or Slippery Slope. With advertisers and politicians urging you to buy their product or vote for them it is important to clearly understand their statements. On August 8 Herb Wexler will lead a program on Logical Fallacies: Are We Victims or Perpetrators? sponsored by the Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County (HFFC). “The timing is perfect” he says, “just after the presidential party nominations in July and before the first Presidential debate in September”.
Wexler will give a brief lecture describing common fallacies; Every attendee will then have a chance to present a logical fallacy example. The public is invited to send favorites to herbwexler@optonline.net
Here is an example of Fallacy of Equivocation
