Man Accused Of Pushing Woman Out Of Moving Vehicle: Westport PD

According to Westport police, the incident occurred in January; the suspect was arrested on a warrant on Sunday.

WESTPORT, CT — A 29-year-old Stamford man was arrested on a warrant by Westport police on Sunday in connection with a January incident where the man is accused of pushing a woman out of his moving vehicle, according to authorities.

Felipe Hernandez-Villegas was apprehended on Sunday by Stamford police on the Westport warrant. He was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

The incident occurred on Jan. 14, when the victim contacted Westport police to report that a verbal argument between her and Hernandez-Villegas had escalated into a physical altercation, according to police.

"[The victim] alleged that [Hernandez-Villegas] had become physical with her and ultimately pushed her out of his moving vehicle while traveling on the Sherwood Island Connector in Westport," police said. "She reported sustaining minor injuries as a result of this incident."

Initial attempts to locate Hernandez-Villegas were unsuccessful so police obtained a warrant for his arrest, which resulted in his apprehension in Stamford on Sunday.

Hernandez-Villegas was released after posting bond on bail of $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on June 1.
