‘No Tolerance For Hate Speech’: Westport State Legislators
Westport's state legislators have issued a joint statement in response to the discovery of antisemitic propaganda flyers in town.
WESTPORT, CT — Westport state legislators are “vehemently” condemning what they said is “another incident of hateful propaganda” in the community after antisemitic propaganda flyers were recently found in town.
Westport police are investigating after antisemitic propaganda flyers were left in driveways in the Partrick Road area last week.
The flyers were discovered on Thursday in plastic baggies weighed down with rice, according to authorities.

State Senator Ceci Maher and state Representatives Jonathan Steinberg and Dominique Johnson released the following joint statement regarding the incident:
“We vehemently condemn another incident of hateful propaganda in our community. We have no tolerance for hate speech against any person or group, based on race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, country of origin, gender identity, or any other affiliation. A hateful action against one Westporter is an attack on us all and we are grateful for the Westport Police and ADL for their vigilance as this incident is investigated.”
