Patch Picks: Westport Spas
The ides of March are behind us, but snow continues to fall. A bit of pampering might be just the thing to relieve stress and elevate the mood. But with no shortage of spas in Westport, how do you tell them apart?
Located at 375-2 Post Road West, the setting is soothingly rustic. Their 'Ultimate Body Treatment' includes exfoliation, a seaweed mudwrap, and an aromatherapy scalp massage. They also offer body bronzing (for those who long for a natural glow without the sun damage), manicures and pedicures (for which customers purchase individual kits to prevent cross-contamination), and an extensive list of facial options (including anti-aging, firming, and microdermabrasion using Aveda and Murad products). Spa packages are also available.

Arogya
Arogya isn’t just about individual treatments but about promoting health and balance. Their 131 Post Road East storefront carries teas, all natural candles, and facial and body products. But they also offer a range of massages including aromatherapy, reflexology, Ayurvedic Shirodhara (a combination of massage, meditatation, and oils), and Reiki (a ‘spiritual healing form’ that originated in Japan). Yoga, acupuncture, and traditional Chinese medical treatments are also available.

True Grace offers two locations at either end of Westport, the original location at 44 Main Street and True Grace II (which opened last fall) at 1860 Post Road East.
The paraffin manicure uses individual treatment gloves to ensure cleanliness, and the pedicure menu is extensive. Unique offerings including the 'Dead Sea Paraffin Spa' pedicure (great for relieving dry skin) and the 'Power Reflexology' pedicure. Their body massages include Hot Stone, Reflexology, Prenatal, and Couples. Chair massages start for as few as 10 minutes and can be done during manicures. They also offer facials (including numerous anti-aging versions) using Dermalogica products.

Posh also offers eyebrow and eyelash tinting, numerous facials, body treatments, and massages (including Shiatsu, Deep tissue, and Aromatherapy). They’re located at 401 Post Road West.
