PD: Man Jumped on Car Stopped at Red Light in Westport

The man allegedly followed victims off Route 15 and smashed their windshield.

WESTPORT, CT- A Fairfield man was arrested after he reportedly followed a vehicle off Route 15 and smashed a windshield.

Two victims approached officers on Post Road West March 4 and said that a man named Jose Correa, 24, attacked them. He allegedly followed the victims off Route 15.

Correa then allegedly jumped on the hood of the victims' vehicle when it stopped at a red light on Wilton Road. He smashed the windshield in the process and fled the scene, police said.

Officers reached Correa on his cell phone and met police on Post Road West. He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.

He was held in lieu of $2,500 bail.
