Power Outages Hit Thousands of Connecticut Customers Sunday: Eversource

Utility company Eversource reported that thousands of Connecticut customers were without power Sunday evening, June 12, due to heavy winds throughout the state.

As of 9:17 p.m., 3,728 were without power, with Colchester, Guilford, Southington, Newington, Danbury and Pomfret among some of the hardest hit.

By 9:32 p.m., the number of outages had dropped to 2,422, which was less than 1 percent of the customers the company serves.
