Sand Castles for a Cause

Homes with Hope and Builders Beyond Borders (B3) present the 14th Annual Castles in the Sand on Saturday, May 9th, 2015,12:00 Noon - 4:00pm, Compo Beach, Westport. Help support the missions of Homes with Hope and B3 as they make a difference in the lives of individuals and families both locally and globally. Participants are encouraged to sign up now at www.hwhct.org.
Adults and children of all ages are welcome. Organize a team with family, friends, co-workers, teammates or club members for a fun and friendly build-a-thon competition at the beach! Sand castle creations are limited only to the participants’ imaginations. Prizes will be awarded to top sculptures by event judges. 10 x 10 Sand Lot ($100.00) 20 x 20 Sand Lot ($300.00) Sponsorships available $1,000 - $10,000. Free Beach Parking For All Participants.
Homes with Hope is a grassroots response to the problems of homelessness. The organization’s mission is to support the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the communities we serve by providing food, safe emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing and the supportive services needed to achieve a more independent and self-sufficient life. Builders Beyond Borders (B3) works within communities both here and abroad to promote youth leadership and volunteerism. Whether it is the revitalization of a local park, helping the homeless, construction of a classroom, aqueduct or a series of latrines, B3’s student and adult volunteers work to address a community’s most pressing needs. The B3 mission is to build character, responsibility and leadership by engaging high school students in local and global community service.
