WESTPORT, CT — Robert Kelly, a 45-year-old former Westport librarian, was sentenced to 30 months in prison last week following his conviction on a charge of second-degree possession of child pornography, reports the Westport News.

Kelly, who has been undergoing psychotherapy treatment as an outpatient according to the publication, was arrested in January 2018 following an investigation that had begun in August of the previous year, authorities said at the time.

Westport police said the investigation began after the department had received a tip from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crime Unit that someone in Westport had shared a child pornographic image over Facebook with another person who was not a Connecticut resident.
