The event was scheduled for Main Street at 3:30 p.m., but the inclement weather forced the change.

WESTPORT, CT — The annual Children's Halloween Parade in Westport, which was scheduled for this afternoon, Oct. 27, has been cancelled, but there will be a party today instead at Town Hall beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Organizers released the following statement about the change, which was forced by today's inclement weather:

The Parks and Recreation Department, along with the Downtown Merchants Association and the Westport PAL, have cancelled today’s Halloween parade due to the inclement weather, but treats and entertainment will be available in Town Hall beginning at 3:30 p.m. Come gather treats in Town Hall offices and meet in the auditorium for music and fun by entertainer, Frank C.
