Westport Man Violates Protective Order, Drags Woman along Ground: Police

The incident occurred Wednesday morning on Hales Court.

Westport, CT - David Price, 69, of Westport was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly violated a protection order and dragged a woman along the ground, according to police.

The incident began at about 8:30 a.m. when police were called to Hales Court on a report of a woman on the ground yelling for help. "The victim of this incident had fallen, and David Price began dragging her on the ground," said police in a statement. "The victim was yelling for someone to call the police because Price would not let her call and continued to drag her."

He was held in lieu of a $1,500 bond and appeared in court Thursday. The status of his case is not known.
