Westport Mom Was Drunk While Picking Up Child from School: Police
The 43-year-old woman was arrested on June 9.

Westport, CT - A 43-year-old Westport mother was arrested recently on a charge of Risk of Injury to a Minor when she allegedly picked up her child from school while she was intoxicated, according to police.
Victoria Lieber turned herself into police custody on June 9 in connection with the May 5 incident. Police did not disclose the school where it occurred.
Police were notified by the school about Lieber's alleged condition. "Westport Officers followed up at Lieber’s residence where Lieber smelled of an alcoholic beverage," Lt. David Farrell wrote in a statement. "Lieber failed the field sobriety tests given by the Officers. It was also determined that Lieber threatened the juvenile while driving in the car."

The circumstances surrounding the alleged threat were not disclosed.
Police then obtained a warrant for Lieber's arrest. She was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior at a later date.
