Westport Weston Family YMCA to Host Extra Special Spring Bash

Join us on Friday, May 23 for the Extra Special Spring Bash—an evening created especially for teens with disabilities, ages 12 to 18.

The Westport Weston Family YMCA is thrilled to share details about its upcoming Extra Special Spring Bash, a vibrant, inclusive event designed for teens and young adults with disabilities, taking place Friday, May 23, 2025 from 6:30-8:00 PM.

This unforgettable night is open to youth ages 12 to 18 with physical or neuro-diverse needs and their families across the community. The Y will transform its fitness studio into a spring-themed wonderland complete with music, dancing, games, food, photo booth fun, gift bags, and plenty of joy. A live DJ will keep the energy high while guests celebrate in a safe, welcoming space made just for them.

More than a party, the Extra Special Spring Bash is a reflection of the Y’s unwavering commitment to inclusion and belonging. “The impact of our adaptive programs reaches far beyond a single event,” said Haley Behm, Director of Marketing & Communications. “It’s about creating a space where everyone is seen, celebrated, and supported. A night like this allows our teens to shine.”

Parents and guardians are also invited to relax in a lounge area nearby, offering a moment to unwind, connect with others, and share in the joy of the evening.

Space is limited, register today! Don’t miss this chance to dress up, dance, and make lasting memories at one of our most heartwarming events of the year. To sign up, find more details or explore other adaptive programming at the Westport Weston Family YMCA, please visit westporty.org/adaptive.
