Keeney Memorial Cultural Center

Wethersfield Historical Society and Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum team up to bring an exciting array of activities for the whole family to enjoy 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.&nbsp;
Stop by the reception desk of Keeney Memorial Cultural Center and pick up a scavenger hunt for children. Search through the Legendary People, Ordinary Lives exhibit at the Keeney Center, the American Girlhood&nbsp;and Remember the Ladies&nbsp;exhibits
 at the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum to find scavenger hunt objects and 
images. Present your completed scavenger hunt at the welcome desk of the
 Webb-Deane-Stevens Visitors Center to receive a reward.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Take
 a break from all the action and excitement outdoors and relax in the 
Rotary Room of the Keeney Center. Coloring sheets of Wethersfield houses
 are available in this quieter space all day.
At 10:00 am, Wethersfield Historical Society volunteer research librarian Martha Smart offers her popular 90-minute tour of the Ancient Burying Ground.
 Meet Martha at the red barn beside First Church’s parking lot and learn
 about the history of those buried in the Ancient Burying Ground and 
Village Cemetery, the final resting place for Wethersfield residents for
 over 300 years. A suggested donation of $10 (cash or check payable to 
Wethersfield Historical Society) is requested from non-members. Members 
receive free admission. This tour may be cancelled or postponed due to 
inclement weather. Pre-registration is not required.
The historic Hurlbut-Dunham House&nbsp;(212 Main Street, Wethersfield) will be open for free guided tours from 10am to 4pm. Tours of the&nbsp;Cove Warehouse will also be available from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.&nbsp;

Run the single-loop 5K or double-loop 10K through historic, quaint streets with a finish in scenic Wethersfield Cove on an unpaved trail along the water. This end of summer running tradition also welcomes walkers in the 5K.
Each race participant will earn a short sleeve technical shirt. After the race, enjoy grab and go snacks and fresh fruit in the cove.
5K &amp; 10K CHALLENGES: Motivate the running season with these two NEW multi-race goals. A great reason to keep up the effort with three unique 5K or 10K courses, custom swag at each race, and a commemorative medal to be proud of at the completion of the series.
