Part Of Silas Deane Highway Closed After Gas Line Hit

It was struck accidentally, police said.

WETHERSFIELD, CT - Police and Firefighters were able to re-open a section of Silas Deane Highway quickly after a natural gas line was accidentally stuck by a road work crew, police said.

The incident was near 292 Silas Deane police said.

The line was hit at about 10 a.m., but the road was fully open within 90 minutes, police said.
