Wethersfield Man Killed When Tree Falls on Truck Along Route 6

The accident took place in Columbia, state police said.

COLUMBIA, CT — A Wethersfield man was killed on Thursday afternoon when a tree fell on a truck along a section of Route 6, according to state police.

Tolland County 911 reported the incident at about 3 p.m. It was at the intersection of Route 6 and Oakwood Lane in Columbia, state police said.

Route 6 was closed in Columbia between Hop River and Edgarton Road, state police said.

The man killed was identified by a WTNH report as James Marcelynas, 40, of Wethersfield.
