Online grocer Peapod.com now offers pick-up service at the Stop & Shop in Wilton. Shoppers can order their groceries online through Peapod.com for easy pick-up at the Stop & Shop store located at 5 River Rd. There is no fee for the service and shoppers can choose a convenient one-hour pick-up time between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM Sunday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday.
To launch the new service, Peapod donated $500 of groceries to the Town of Wilton food pantry, who picked-up the donation on Thursday afternoon.
“Our mission at Peapod is to save our customers time and money – and for many busy families, especially moms, who are always on the go, a quick stop at our pick-up location on the way home is the most convenient option,” said Andrew Parkinson, Peapod President. "Peapod associates greet you at your car, collect your coupons and load your groceries into your vehicle for you – all within five minutes. There’s no need for you to even get out of your car,” said Parkinson.

Peapod shoppers can create personal lists, read nutrition information online, sort products rapidly by price or by nutrition criteria and take advantage of thousands of weekly specials. Stop & Shop customers can even shop from a list of items they have bought at their local store simply by entering their Stop & Shop card number online. They can also earn Stop & Shop Gas Rewards and A+ School Rewards points on their pick-up orders.
