Are Wilton Property Taxes On The Way Up?
A change to the town's mill rate is being considered by the Board of Finance.

WILTON, CT — A last-minute $50,000 increase for tax relief for the elderly and disabled may ripple into a larger than anticipated increase in Wilton's mill rate, as reported in The Hour.
The mill, or millage, rate is used to calculate the amount of property tax and is the amount per $1,000 of the assessed value of property.
The town's Board of Finance is pondering a 1.99 percent increase to its mill rate for the upcoming fiscal year, up from an earlier estimate of 1.94 percent due to he aforementioned tax relief.
