Boucher Giving 'Serious Thought' to Statewide Office Run: Report
The Wilton Republican had previously ran for governor in 2014.

With the race for the GOP candidacy for governor starting to form, state Sen. Toni Boucher is considering throwing her name in the hat for a run at statewide office, reports the Connecticut Post.
Boucher told the Post that she is giving "serious thought" to exploring a run at statewide office. Boucher ran for the gubernatorial seat in 2014, but dropped out of the race after six month after trailing in the polls.
Several republicans statewide have already formed exploratory committees or declared their candidacy; including Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst.
