Saturday's game was close in the opening minutes and Danbury may have been thinking about the upset.
However, the Warriors played a superior game and pulled away with nine consecutive goals over a ten-minute span. After taking a 10-2 halftime lead, the Warriors erased any hope of a second-half comeback but outscoring the Hatters 7-3 over the final two quarters.

Wilton defenseman Peter Brown returned to action after an extended absence due to injury and was able to contribute to the win.
With the win, the Warriors improved to 9-5 overall and 8-3 in the FCIAC heading into their final league contest on Tuesday against Bridgeport Central.
The Warriors, who also have a non-league contest at Yorktown (N.Y.) on Wednesday to close out the regular season, hope to stay healthy heading into their first-round FCIAC matchup next Saturday likely against either Ridgefield or New Canaan.
Wilton dropped regular-season meetings with both teams by identical 10-9 scores, and a playoff contest with either would provide an opportunity for redemption.
