Campers at Wilton Family YMCA Discuss Dangers of Cyberbullying

Campers at the Wilton Family YMCA will discuss cyberbullying as part of Optimum’s “Internet Smarts program.” Congressman Jim Himes, Senator Toni Boucher and Representative Gail Lavielle will speak on the importance of internet safety and the consequences of online bullying. Campers will give presentations on the topic and will sign a “Delete Cyberbullying” pledge. Elected officials will sign an “Internet Smarts” certificate.

CT Alliance of YMCA’s Executive Director John Cattelan, YMCA Board President Howard Steinberg and Wilton Family YMCA Camp Director Aaron Britton will also be on hand at the event. Approximately 110 campers in 3rd through 9th grade will participate in the important program which is set to take place on Wednesday, August 13.
