Canine Company Treats DAWS Dogs to Makeover Day
The Canine Company Mobile Spa visited the DAWS shelter to help prepare the adoption candidates for new homes
Ten dogs in need of forever homes at the Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) were treated to “canine makeovers” courtesy of Wilton-based Canine Company on Thursday, May 19.
The company's mobile spa and two groomers visited the DAWS campus in Bethel for a “Spa Day” during which they gave the dogs a shampoo and moisturizing treatment, nail trim, ear cleaning and more to get them ready to head to their new homes.
“We want the dogs to look their best when people come to meet and consider adopting them,’ said Jennifer Hill, President and CEO of Canine Company. “As a long-time supporter of DAWS, we thought a spa day with our mobile grooming unit would be a great way to help get more of these needy pets adopted.”
