All are always welcome. Adult-supervised nursery care (0-preK) is available and children's programming begins this Sunday.&nbsp;
This Sunday &nbsp;Rev. Terri will lead us through a service entitled: With Love Stitched in From the Beginning. &nbsp;As she explains:&nbsp;"Our lives contain so many rips and tears. How do we practice mending and forgiveness of ourselves and others? When there has been so much hurt, how do we begin again in love?" Click <a href="https://uuwestport.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/OOS_9-20-26.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">HERE</a>&nbsp;for the Order of Service.&nbsp;&nbsp; +++ All are always welcome to our Unitarian Universalist services at UU Westport, offered each Sunday at 10 AM, both in person and&nbsp;<a href="https://uuwestport.org/livestream/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">live-streamed online</a>. Services usually include a time of reflection/prayer/meditation; wonderful music; readings; and a homily or sermon to lend insight into our world and how we interact with it and with each other. 
The <a href="https://uuwestport.org/mission-statement/about-our-ministers-2/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Rev. Terri Dennehy</a> presides over our time together that includes participation from multiple congregants, guests, and friends. Music Director&nbsp;<a href="https://uuwestport.org/music-program/our-minister-of-music/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Micah Krajca</a>&nbsp;leads our choirs. Separate children's programming and nursery care is available during the service, 10-11:15AM. Children begin with their parents/caregivers in the sanctuary and move to their classrooms after the Time for All Ages. Nursery care (ages 0- preK) is always available. Dress code is as you feel comfortable.

The building has just undergone a major renovation and is spectacular with its soaring rooflines, sparkling glass walls, set in the woods with the beauty of nature all around it.

This hands-on experience is a meaningful way to learn about forest ecology and stewardship while contributing directly to habitat restoration efforts.We will meet at the trail entrance found at the cul-de-sac on Abbott Lane. The Congregation for Humanistic Judaism of Fairfield County, CT (CHJ), welcomes the public to our High Holiday services.
Our schedule of remaining in-person (and livestreamed) services are:
Yom Kippur Kol Nidre Service, Sunday, September 20th at 7:30 pm
Yom Kippur Memorial and Closing Service, Monday, September 21st at 5:00 pm.
In-person or livestream options are available. Non-members must pre-register on CHJ's website, no later than Thursday, September 17, for location details. While our services are free of charge, we kindly ask non-members to consider a donation.
As the only Humanistic Jewish congregation in Connecticut, CHJ celebrates Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with a Humanistic liturgy, beautiful live music (song leader and instrumental), and inspirational poetry and readings.
Our services strike a balance between the broad stream of Judaism and a secular humanistic view of Jewish culture and customs. They are unique and spiritually uplifting and allow one to reflect on the year that has passed and the promise of the new year to come.
CHJ is affiliated with the Society for Humanistic Judaism (shj.org), part of a movement that celebrates Jewish culture and heritage through a non-theistic, human-centered approach. Our membership reflects a diverse group of people who enrich our community.

Hillside Cemetery

The Wilton Garden Club will dedicate its new&nbsp;BEE RESILIENT Garden at Hillside Cemetery and Arboretum&nbsp;on&nbsp;September 22 at 2 p.m.&nbsp;The public is invited to attend the event and learn more about the garden and the important role native plants play in supporting pollinators and local wildlife.
Partially funded with a&nbsp;BEE RESILIENT Garden Grant from the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, the garden was designed as a contemplative space for people visiting loved ones at the cemetery.
The garden features several of&nbsp;Doug Tallamy’s Keystone plants, along with a variety of native perennial pollinator plants, including milkweed. These plants provide valuable habitat and food for our native bees, butterflies and other pollinators, while the milkweed provides essential support for visiting monarch butterflies.
The garden demonstrates how even a small, thoughtfully designed native-plant garden can provide meaningful benefits for both people and pollinators.

Registration is now open for Music on the Hill's after school music programs for kids! 
Children's Chorus is open to all kids in grades 2 through 6 who love to sing! Rehearsals are Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m., starting October 1. In Children’s Chorus, children build a musical foundation through singing. Children will learn vocal technique and breath support, music and rhythm reading, pitch and listening skills, and more. Through being part of the ensemble, children will build confidence, and skills in teamwork and leadership. 
Cultural Drum &amp; Fun is open to children of all ages, including young children with a caregiver. Sessions are Wednesdays from 4:15 to 5:00 p.m., starting September 23. Cultural Drum &amp; Fun is an opportunity for youth, family and friends to explore the wonderful world of music through drumming. Authentic instruments from Africa, Brazil and beyond add to the cultural and musical education and enhance the experience!

REDDING CENTER, CT — A Redding tradition returns this fall as the First Church of Christ, Congregational welcomes the community to its 44th Annual Artisan Fair on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
For more than four decades, the Artisan Fair has brought together neighbors, families, and visitors from across Fairfield County for a day filled with handcrafted artwork, delicious homemade food, live entertainment, shopping, children’s activities, and one of the area’s largest community tag sales. Best of all, admission is free.
<h3>Discover One-of-a-Kind Artisan Creations</h3>
Nearly 50 local and regional artisans will transform the church grounds into an outdoor marketplace featuring handcrafted jewelry, pottery, woodworking, fiber arts, photography, paintings, home décor, gourmet specialties, and much more.

Church volunteers will once again serve fresh apple pie, homemade Congregational soup, grilled burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, veggie burgers, fries, popcorn, refreshing drinks, and other delicious treats throughout the day.
Guests can also purchase seasonal mums, pumpkins, gourds, and cornstalks while enjoying live entertainment on the church grounds.

The Keelers (10:30 a.m. – 12:00 pm) 
The Keelers are a music duo from Redding, CT who entangle harmonies, old and new songs, and community connection.
Enchanted Garden Dancers (12:00 PM -12:45 PM)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Returning by popular demand, the Enchanted Garden Dancers will once again delight our audience with energetic performances showcasing a variety of dance styles that captivated Fairgoers last year.

Snakeskin Boots Band (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.) 
Snakeskin Boots Band is an American Country Rock Band from Fairfield County Connecticut, with a mix of original songs and covers. Their voices and musical songwriting style bring a unique sound. Kurt's rich, deep rocking quality, and Helen's warm soulful touches fill a distinctive sound into our music. Performances are filled with energy and passion, showcasing chemistry on stage.
