Coronavirus CT: Daily Positivity Rate Drops Below 2%

The daily coronavirus positivity rate in Connecticut is the lowest it has been since the end of July.

CONNECTICUT — The slow retreat of the coronavirus in Connecticut continued Friday, with the state Department of Public Health reporting the lowest coronavirus daily positivity rate since the end of July.

With 470 cases confirmed cases out of 24,960 tests taken, the daily positivity rate on Friday was 1.88 percent.

Hospitalizations held their ground overnight, with no new COVID-19 patients admitted or released. There are 282 residents being treated for the virus inside Connecticut hospitals as of Friday.

DPH recorded another 36 coronavirus-related deaths in the past week, bringing the state death toll to 8,483.
