Coronavirus Wilton: Public Schools Closed 'Until Further Notice'
Parents of one or more students have had direct contact with a potentially presumptive positive COVID-19 patient, officials said.
WILTON, CT — The Town's public schools have been closed "until further notice," officials decided Wednesday afternoon.
Parents were notified of the decision in a letter signed by First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice, Superintendent of Schools Kevin Smith and Health Director Barrington Bogle.
"We have been notified that parents of one or more Wilton Public School students have had
direct contact with a potentially presumptive positive COVID-19 patient," the letter said.

Also closed until further notice are the Comstock Community Center and Trackside Teen Center. All sport and other activities involving Wilton public school students have also been suspended until further notice, "out of an abundance of caution."
Parents have been asked to immediately make arrangements to pick up their children from afterschool care at the WPS and the Comstock Community Center.

"Please have children stay home, check temperature two times per day, and call your
personal physician if there is a fever, cough and difficulty breathing," the letter said.
