In Lauretta’s recent work, crisply-rendered natural subjects emerge from chaos and mystery, expressing a subtle shift from the traditional botanical genre to a stance that encompasses both form and the unformed.

Lauretta teaches workshops in botanical watercolor, colored pencil and graphite at the Greenwich Art Society's studio school. She also teaches at the New York Botanical Garden.
