On the heels of a discussion of the classic novel by Elizabeth Gaskell, "North and South," about the contrast between the way of life in the industrial north of England and the wealthier south, the library will screen part I of the film 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, to be followed by part II at the same time Dec. 17, in the Brubeck Room. Each segment will be followed by a brief question-and-answer period.
Copies of the book are available in the Book Club book area of the library for advance reading.
All are welcome. Participants may bring a brown bag lunch, and coffee, tea, water and chips will be provided at no charge.
