Whiz Kid’s Accomplishment: Two-year starter on the Wilton girls basketball team, which has made the state tournament for the first time since 2005.
Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: The junior averaged 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game for the state-tournament-bound Warriors (11-9, 10-8) this season.
“I just go hard to the basket,” Fulton said. “(Wilton) Coach (Jaclyn Woitkowski) always says you have to finish no matter what."

Woitkowski likes the extra effort that Fulton shows when trying to score and playing in the post.
“She has a nice reach,” Woitkowski said. “She’s extremely coachable."

Fulton, however, credits her teammates for a lot of her success this season.
“It’s a team game,” the junior forward and center said. “We’ve made strides. We’re not in FCIAC’s, but we’re in states and we’re going to try our best."
Wilton will learn its first-round opponent on Wednesday, when the pairings are released by the CIAC.
“They’re excited,” Woitkowski said.
