Kim Healy Seeks GOP Nomination For New 42nd District House Seat
The new 42nd House District includes all of Wilton and parts of New Canaan and Ridgefield.

WILTON, CT — Kim Healy, a member of Wilton’s Board of Selectmen, will be seeking the Republican nomination for state representative of the new 42nd House District.
Healy, a Republican, made the announcement during an online press conference Tuesday morning.
The 42nd House District is the product of last year’s redistricting process, and its boundaries will include all of Wilton and parts of New Canaan and Ridgefield. The new political geography will become effective following the November 2022 election.

Healy ran for election to the state Senate to represent District 26 in 2020, but was defeated by Democrat Will Haskell. She was elected to the Wilton Board of Selectmen last year. Healy said her time campaigning in southwestern Connecticut over the past two election cycles has provided her with a keen understanding of voters' needs and wants.
"During the 2020 state Senate election and the 2021 town elections in Wilton, I met and spoke with thousands of voters in Wilton, New Canaan, and Ridgefield. Their concerns range from education and public safety to the cost of living and local control. They want a voice that really speaks for them in Hartford, where their interests are often subordinated to special interests. I am determined to provide that voice and be their advocate," Healy said.
