NY Post: Wiltonian Steve Phillips's Affair May End Marriage

The New York Post has a story about ESPN baseball analyst and Wilton resident Steve Phillips and his latest troubling affair.

Steve Phillips, the former GM of the New York Mets and a Wilton resident, has had trouble with philandering in the past. This time, it may cost him his marriage and it endangered his family.

The New York Post has a story detailing Phillips' alleged sexual encounters with his 22-year-old production assistant Brooke Hundley, an apparently sordid affair filled with threats against Phillip's wife and children. According to the Post, after Phillips apparently ended the series of trysts over the summer, Hundley began harassing his wife, Marni, and their children, ultimately leading to Wilton Police involvement.

"It was an investigation we conducted in August," said Lieutenant Don Wakeman of the Wilton Police Department. "It was a trespassing incident Mr. Phillips reported involving his wife and another female. We identified the person as a female acquaintance of Mr. Phillips who showed up at the property and contacted various family members...at the end of the investigation, Mr. Phillips elected not to pursue criminal charges and the case was closed."

Wakeman also said that, as yet, there have only been a few calls by the national media about the incident.

Marni Phillips, meanwhile, has since brought suit for divorce against her husband, according to the report.
