Police Log: Nintendos Nabbed, Unsecure Load

• Manuel Cuellar, 27, of Danbury was stopped for having an unsecure load. He gave multiple dates of birth and several different names. He was also found to have a suspended license. He was charged with interfering with an officer, driving with a suspended license, and possessing an unsecure load. He was assigned a $3,000 bond and has a Sept. 3 court date.

Thursday, August 26

• Sometime between 1:15 and 5:45 p.m. a resident reported the theft of her plastic spare tire cover off the back of her Toyota RAV4 from 43 Danbury Raod. The cover was gray and is valued at $225.

Friday, August 27

• A resident reported unauthorized use of their credit card, which was used on seven different occasions over a 12 day period in July. The charges totalled $53.
• Michael Czegledi and his girlfriend Laura Carlson were arrested on a variety of charges stemming from a drug investigation at Czegledi's Gaylord Drive South residence. Read the full story here.

Saturday, August 28

• A sum of money was turned in to the Wilton Police Department on Aug. 28. The money was found in the grass near Route 106 and Belden Hill Road. If it was yours, contact police at 203-834-6260.

Sunday, August 29

• Sometime between Sunday at 6 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 30, at 9 a.m. an unidentified individual entered an unlocked Volkswagen Jetta parked in a driveway at 31 Vista Rd. The perpetrator stole two Nintendo DS game players, 12 assorted game cartridges and a case, totalling around $700 worth of goods. A second vehicle, a Nissan Pathfinder, parked in the driveway was also entered and $40 in cash was stolen from a wallet in it. No other neighbors had similar issues at the time, according to police. Both vehicles were unlocked and there was little to no evidence or any witnesses at the scene, making a follow up investigation "difficult."
