Police Log: Domestics, Robbed While Getting Nails Done
Police deal with multiple domestic disputes and an odd case of a stolen purse.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Wilton Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.
Monday, November 22, 2010
- Dominick Pastorello, 56, of Wilton was charged with disorderly conduct after a dispute with his wife. The dispute began as a verbal argument. Pastorello's wife was in a separate room and wouldn't let him enter the room. Pastorello began banging on the door, demanding to get in. As the argument escalated, he made a threat to get a gun and harm a third party, whom police said was a possible source of the dipsute. No weapons were ultimately located in the residence and Pastorello was released on a PTA with a court date of Nov. 23.

- Three laptop computers, a desk phone, a port replicator and printer toners were stolen out of 15 River Road Suite 300 when unknown individuals gained access to the office by removing the back door from its hinges. An investigation is pending.

- Two 19-year-old Wilton residents were stopped for what police deemed "investigative reasons" for a possible involvement in a nearby vandalism case on Cannon Road. Upon contact with the operator, police detected the smell of burnt marijuana. After searching the car, police found a 1.75 liter bottle of vodka, three empty beers cans and a 12 ounce bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade, which the two residents were not of legal age to possess. A small bag of marijuana fell from one of the resident's pockets during the investigation. As a result, Ryan Boepple was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of marijuana, and Ian Ross was charged with possession of alcohol. Boepple has a Dec. 6 court date, Ross a Dec. 10 court date.

- An 89-year-old resident of the Ogden House at 100 River Road reported that she left her apartment for 15 minutes. When she returned, her purse was allegedly missing. Her door was unlocked at the time and the small, black leather satchel purse contained credit cards, checkbooks and other miscellaneous cards.

- Ryan F. Cherniske, 27, of Bethel was operating a vehicle that was reported for driving erratically. A Wilton officer then observed the vehicle having a difficult time maintaining its lane of travel. In stopping the vehicle, the Cherniske appeared to be under the influence of a substance and subsequently failed field sobriety tests. He was charged with DUI and failure to drive in an established lane, released on a PTA, and has a Dec. 6 court date.
- Two spare tires were stolen from two vans on display in front of the Chevrolet/Buick dealership at 190 Danbury Road. Each van had a spare tire located underneath the vehicle and at some point between when the vans were moved to the roadside on Monday and Friday, someone was able to crank down the spare tires from inside the vans and take them. The Bridgestone tires mounted on their full-sized spare rims were valued at about $325 each.

- Vandals caused $60,000 in damage to a 32 Charter Oak Drive home. Read the .
- A woman parked her Jeep Commander outside Good Morning Nails in Wilton Center. About fifteen minutes after she left to go into the store, she realized she had left her car unlocked and went to the window of the store to lock it remotely. However, when she eventually returned to her vehicle another 30 minutes later, she discovered that her purse was missing. The brown Coach bag reportedly contained $1,000 in cash and a few credit cards. Later that evening, activity was reported on one of the stolen credit cards. Two charges, amounting to $350, came from North Face and Lucky Brand stores in Westchester County, New York. Police are following up with the managers of those stores to see if they can obtain surveillance footage of the individual using the cards.

- At a residence on West Meadow Road, a husband and wife got into an argument that became physical. The husband came into headquarters the day after to report the incident. After questioning both parties, police found that both alleged physical abuse. After interiewing a third party, William Lee, 60, and Anastazija Lee, 63, both of Wilton, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. They both posted $500 bond and had Nov. 30 court dates.
