Police Seize Knife From Driver In Wilton Road Rage Incident

Police charged the motorist with breach of peace and possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

WILTON, CT — Police seized a knife from a driver after receiving a complaint from another motorist traveling along Danbury Road in rush hour last Thursday.

Shortly after 5 p.m. on May 2, the Wilton Police Department received a complaint from a motorist in the area of Danbury Road and Arrowhead Road.

According to the report, the driver of a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country displayed a knife to the driver of another vehicle.

Officers located the Chrysler traveling south on Danbury Road and stopped it in the driveway of the Gateway Center at 14 Danbury Road.

The 36-year-old motorist from Hicksville, NY, admitted to displaying the knife, according to police, who arrested him. Police located the weapon in the driver door pocket and seized it, according to their report.

Back at Wilton Police HQ, the motorist was charged with possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and breach of peace. He was released after posting $350 of his $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 13.
