Report-- Ike Davis to remain with Mets for Spring Training

The report coming out of Queens, NY is that Ike Davis, Mets first basemen is going to stay with the team for spring training. What happened to trading him Sandy Alderson? Apparently Mr. Alderson has tried to acquire top pitching prospects like Tyler Thornburg and Eduardo Rodriguez but both proposals were rejected. Im very upset the Mets can't find a solid trading partner. I find that the Baltimore Orioles match up well with the Mets. I could see a trade going down like this:

O's Acquire:
-Ike Davis
-Ruben Tejada
-Daniel Murphy

Mets Recieve:
 - Brian Matusz
 - JJ Hardy
 - Nick Markakis

I find this is a good trade for both teams. The Mets need shortstop help and they would be getting a power-hitting shortstop in JJ Hardy. Brian Matusz would be a good player out of the bullpen. Personally he needs a change of scenery especially after his down 2013 season. For the O's, Daniel Murphy would be an upgrade over 2B Ryan Flaherty and Jemile Weeks. Manny Machado cold move over to shortstop, his natural position and put prospect Michael Almanzar at third. It's all up to Sandy Alderson. Tell me what you think in the comments!
