He announced his resignation in a letter to the Board of Selectmen last week.

WILTON, CT -- Selectman Michael Kaelin announced his resignation in a letter to the Board of Selectmen last Wednesday, May 30, the Wilton Bulletin is reporting.
Kaelin, a litigation trial attorney with Cummings & Lockwood in Stamford, is reportedly attributing his resignation to a busier than usual workload at his day job.
Kaelin joined the Board of Selectmen in 2014. He was elected as a Republican in 2015, he changed his affiliation to "unaffiliated" in November 2015 as a Republican. In 2016, he changed his party affiliation to unaffiliated. First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice and Selectwoman Lori Bufano are Republicans, Second Selectman David Clune is unaffiliated, and Selectwoman Deborah Fadden is a Democrat. The town charter stipulates that no more than three members of the Board of Selectmen may be of the same party.
