Town Of Wilton: Possible Saturday Blizzard With Dangerous Road Conditions

This weekend’s storm has the potential to be much more powerful than storms we have experienced in recent years. 

Wilton’s emergency personnel are prepared and monitoring conditions.  Additional personnel will be on duty.  DPW’s year-round drivers, along with seasonal drivers, will be working around the clock to clear the roads.   

If we do receive the possible 18 inches of snow, 50 to 60 mph winds and snow drifting, road clearing will be difficult and time consuming. There may be periods when it will be too dangerous for our drivers to be on the road. Comstock has been made ready to support them throughout the storm.  

We appreciate your patience and understanding of the possible scope of the effort that may be required. 

During the storm, unless you absolutely must travel, please stay off the roads to allow crews to perform their work in as safe a manner as possible.
