Town Of Wilton Publishes Coronavirus Update For February 25

February 24rd - "Wilton continues to remain classified as a red zone community, though the 14-day average daily cases per 100,000 residents as of 2/20/21 declined versus the previous week. Of the surrounding suburban communities, New Canaan was the only community to experience an increase in their 14-day average. Weston and Weston moved back to orange.

If this week’s daily average trend continues, it will likely mean Wilton remains red next week.

Today the Governor reported the following for Connecticut:

· 582,786 first doses administered

· 304,539 second doses administered

· 73% of those aged 75 and up have received the vaccine

· 44% of those aged 65 to 74 have received the vaccine

Next week, Connecticut is scheduled to receive 30,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, subject to FDA approval of the vaccine.

  • Watch your distance
  • Wear a mask/face covering when you can’t maintain 6 feet of distance whether indoors or outside
  • Walk, run or bike to the right in single file when passing another person on the NRVT, sidewalks and trails
  • Wait to host indoor gatherings
  • Wash your hands
