  • 97.11% of residents 75 and up had received a first dose, meaning only an estimated 40 residents in this age group hadn’t received the vaccine.
  • 64.36% of residents 65 to 74 had received a first dose, meaning an estimated 460 residents in this age group hadn’t received the vaccine

The combined efforts of health, social services, DPW, police and first selectwoman office employees, VNA nurses and CERT volunteers helped drive the high rate of vaccinations for these vulnerable populations.

Today (Monday) at 12:01a.m., there was a mad dash by many of the 610,000 newly eligible Connecticut residents to book vaccine appointments. Provider websites struggled to handle the volume and many Wilton residents walked away empty handed. With only 131,000 doses shipped to Connecticut, this was inevitable. Keep trying and check the Town’s Coronavirus page for links to providers and tips for using VAMS.
