TPNC Auditions: The Mystery of Edwin Drood
Auditions for TPNC's 2015-2016 Season Opener, The Mystery of Edwin Drood take place in late July and early August in New Canaan.

The Town Players of New Canaan are pleased to announce auditions for the opening show of our 2015-2016 Season: The Mystery of Edwin Drood with Book, Music, and Lyrics by Rupert Holmes.
Winner of the Tony® “Triple Crown” (Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Score). In the musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’s last, unfinished novel, the audience gets to decide who murdered the mysterious orphan Edwin Drood, with the musical presented in the style of a Victorian music hall, with a master of ceremonies, a woman playing Drood and other conventions of the period. The giddy playfulness of this play-within-a-play draws the audience towards one of the play’s most talked-about features, which allows the audience to vote on the solution as prelude to the most unusual and hilarious finale! No fourth wall, lots of audience interaction, and different endings each night - this is a wonderfully unique opportunity for all involved, onstage and off.
Please bring 32 bars of a song to perform (it can be from the show), with sheet music in the appropriate key, and come prepared to dance with appropriate shoes (no flip-flops or sandals please), dressed in clothes you can move in.
