Wilton Bridge Projects Could Close Roads For Over A Year

Tree work and utility relocation are beginning ahead of two Norwalk River bridge replacements expected to close roads for over a year.

WILTON, CT — Two bridge replacement projects in Wilton could disrupt traffic and lead to road closures for over a year, according to the town's Department of Public Works.

The town said preparation work will begin the week of March 16 for the replacement of the Honey Hill Road and Cannon Road bridges over the Norwalk River.

As part of the preparation, crews will begin tree cutting and trimming along both roads. Traffic by both bridges may be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
