WILTON, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Wilton and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

Wilton Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

Democrat Ernie Ricco, 56, is running for re-election as constable. He has been married since 1988 with 6 children ages 28, 27, 25, 24, 15 and 14 all of whom have graduated or presently attend the Wilton School system. Ricco attended Southern Connecticut State University, and is the owner of Ricco Enterprises, a construction management and property operations firm.

Ricco has been the chairman of the Wilton Democratic Platform Committee from 1999 to the present, a United States senatorial delegate, United States congressional delegate, and Connecticut gubernatorial delegate since 2000. From 1985 to 1987, he was a town councilman in Stratford, where he undertook numerous government posts including the School Building Committee.
