WILTON, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Wilton and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

Wilton Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaigns and will be publishing candidate profiles as election day draws near.

Jill Warren, 21, is running for a seat on the Planning & Zoning Commission as a Republican. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Health and Society from Cornell University, and currently works as a paralegal.

The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Growth. I provide a unique insight into the mind of a millennial and can speak to the qualities millennials (and others moving to Wilton) seek in a place to call home. It is imperative to preserve Wilton's historical richness and inviting, small-town feel but nurture its development in a thoughtful manner.

Without growth, Wilton will not meet its full potential as a community.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Establishing, and successfully leading, the Victims and Survivors Association within my 150-member sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi, while at Cornell. I served as Chairwoman for my sorority's Committee on Sexual Assault, successfully drafting policies designed to protect sisters at events on campus.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I can't wait for the opportunity to serve such a great town.
