The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Communication regarding plans and changes to our education

My experiences and interests have prepared me to be on the Wilton BOE. First, I am a mother to 2 children in Wilton schools. I have strong relationships with the school administrators and staff. I founded the Miller-Driscoll Carnival, the Cider Mill Talent show and was appointed to the Miller-Driscoll building committee where I got experience working with municipal spending.

I am also an accomplished businesswoman managing a multi-million dollar sales territory for a major healthcare company and have earned numerous awards and accolades for my leadership and innovations.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

Communication is key. All members of the community need to understand the vision of the schools. Academic excellence and recruiting and retaining top teachers.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

As a parent and active volunteer in our schools, I know the day-to-day and long term considerations impacting our schools. I also know how to work with administrators and am an excellent communicator and collaborator.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

We need active board, faculty, parent and student communications. Most of the community and all of the parents of students need to know what decisions are being made in our schools.

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

“If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday's we rob them of tomorrow.” A quote from John Dewey- an educational reformer.
