The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Implementation of 2019 POCD and new town center with a Norwalk River-Centric approach. I'll help put the POCD into action and help revise P&Z regulations to make it all work for residents, businesses and developers alike.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Planning & Zoning is closely related to my day job and I have the experience to back it up. We're all running as a team to be collaborative and move the town forward with vision and by listening to all.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

Improve downsizing opportunities, Improve wayfinding & signage, Improve walkability, Require new developments to have public amenity space, Streamline the pre-application process for P&Z, and enacting a town-wide plan for adapting to climate change.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Firstly, it's a volunteer position, not a job. Any Architect\Landscape Architect has been put in the hot seat more than once in their career and around here it's often on a daily basis - meeting client demands or coming up with creative solutions to design problems on a dime. P&Z is very similar and as a design professional you can't let things get personal, especially in regards to Planning & Zoning and the general public. Keeping your cool, listening carefully, asking good questions and methodically considering all options is part of the "job".

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Read my op-ed on Good Morning Wilton if you're still undecided about me! Thank you, Rem

The best advice ever shared with me was ...

"What's stopping you?", asked by an app developer at Techyizu in Shanghai some years ago. In a way, I knew that inherently since I have dived in feet first in other things (Fulbright Fellowship definitely applies!) many years before that, but I guess that was putting that feeling into words and I remember thinking that's a good question!
