Wilton Coronavirus Update: No New Cases As Of Monday

WILTON, CT—As of Monday, the Connecticut Department of Public Health reported 697 new laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases statewide, bringing the total number to 38,116. Of that number, 218 new cases were in Fairfield County, with Wilton showing no new growth. It remained at 200 cases.
"Our neighboring suburban towns also showed no growth, while Bridgeport accounted for just half of Fairfield County’s growth in new cases. Two-hundred thirty-six cases have not yet been assigned to a municipality," town officials said in an update.
Monday's report included 7,072 new COVID-19 tests performed, bringing to total to 177,679. Within the next few days, town officials said the state will be providing Wilton's health director with the number of COVID-19 tests performed on Wilton residents.

"We’ll share the number, when it becomes available," town officials said.
Statewide deaths rose by 41 to 3,449 as of Monday. Deaths in Fairfield County rose by 7 to 1,153.

"Once the town clerk receives the required report and certificates from Norwalk and other municipalities, we’ll provide data for Wilton," town officials said.
Statewide hospitalizations decreased by 17 patients to 920 and Fairfield County hospitalizations decreased by 12 to 287.
