Wilton a Major Loser in State Aid Under Malloy's Latest Plan

Wilton would see its fiscal year 2019 state grant almost cut in half - by $566,000 - if Malloy proposal becomes law.

WILTON, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.

Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.

Wilton would receive 43 percent - or $556,900 less under Malloy's plan. Previously it was slated to get $1.3 million; now, $754,000.
