The Wilton Playshop Brings Nunsense to the Stage This Spring

WILTON, CT — The Wilton Playshop will open its spring production of Nunsense on Friday, April 24, 2026. Written by Dan Goggin, this much-loved musical comedy follows the Little Sisters of Hoboken, who discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of their fellow sisters. With the convent running short on funds, the surviving nuns hatch a plan to stage a variety show to raise enough money to give their departed sisters a proper burial. The result is an evening of music, laughs, and inspired chaos.

The production is directed by John Atkin, with musical direction by Ken Knox and choreography by Christine Titus. The show is produced by Jen Kepner and stage managed by Liam Gallary.

The cast features Claire Mailhot of Ridgefield, CT as Reverend Mother Mary Regina; Jen Danenberg of Newtown, CT as Sister Mary Amnesia; Ashley Rockwood of Milford, CT as Sister Robert Anne; Amy Morris of Stamford, CT as Sister Mary Hubert; and Em Lubbers of Mahopac, NY as Sister Mary Leo.

Nunsense will be performed on the following dates: Friday, April 24 at 7:30 PM; Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM; Friday, May 1 at 7:30 PM; Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 PM; Sunday, May 3 at 2:00 PM; Friday, May 8 at 7:30 PM; and Saturday, May 9 at 7:30 PM. Please note that there will be no Sunday performance on April 26 due to a space conflict — two performances have been scheduled for Saturday, April 25 in its place.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased on The Wilton Playshop website www.wiltonplayshop.org.
