Wilton Police Activity Last Week — Here’s What Officers Responded To Most

WILTON, CT — Wilton police logged 301 incidents between April 6 and April 12 — and traffic enforcement made up the bulk of the week's activity.

Nearly 188 of those calls, about 62 percent, were traffic-related.

Officers conducted more than 107 SEU (Special Enforcement Unit) stops and 51 traffic stops, with Danbury Road serving as the primary corridor. Busy intersections included Danbury Road at Ridgefield Road, Wolfpit Road, School Street, and the Norwalk town line.

It wasn't all traffic, though.

Officers responded to an attempted burglary on Wilton Woods Road on April 10, a harassment complaint on Kellogg Drive, a juvenile investigation, and a missing person report. There were also multiple residential and commercial alarm responses and several EMS assists throughout the week.

A notable cluster of incidents hit Danbury Road and Old Mill Road on the night of April 11, when a injury crash led to multiple calls — including one report of an injured officer.

Animal control also stayed busy, with several leash law patrols and one sick or injured animal call logged across the week.
